University of Gloucestershire offers postgraduate study, research degrees and professional courses for students from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.
The university established in 2001, prior to 2001, the history can be traced back to 1847 and to the establishment of small college for teachers in Cheltenham by a group of church men and women. This experience and knowledge has given the university a firm foundation on which to build.

Hundreds of students are currently undertaking taught programmes at the university, leading to the Masters Degree, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate awards
Research Degrees:
Less than thousand students are currently undertaking research degrees leading to PhDs (the Doctorate), MPhils and Masters by Research at the University.
Professional courses:
University of Gloucestershire offers a range of specialized professional courses, including the PGCE and programmes of study leading to qualifications from professional institutes.
Most programmes of postgraduate study are available on either full-time or part-time basis, allowing you to plan your study around other commitments, at a place that suit you.
The University of Gloucestershire offers easy access to both city and country life. So whether you are looking for lively nightlife, outdoor sporting activities or a ramble around the historical land-marks, you will find them all within easy reach.
Campus: there are four main university campuses: three in Cheltenham (Francis close Hall, Park and Pittsville) and a fourth campus (Oxstalls in Gloucester). The four campuses are connected electrically and the university offers a free bus service between campuses and town centres to help you get around.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Academics: Entry requirements for postgraduate students vary according to different programme or research requirements, but generally you will be expected to have the equivalent of an upper second class UK Degree in a relevant academic subject.
English language: Your ability in English is very important and if English is not your first language the university will need evidence of your English language level before you start your programme. Postgraduate study and Research Degrees require competent in all areas of English language, especially written proficiency.
If you do not have the level of the university courses designed to lead to postgraduate study.

If you are arriving from outside the UK, you must have guaranteed funds to cover your living expenses and tuition fees
Tuition Fees
The fees you will have to pay will depend on whether you are classified as a Home or Overseas student for fees purposes. The regulations of fees status are set by the British Government. Overseas will be charged to student who does not have a relevant connection if:
you have been ordinarily resident throughout the three year period before that of your course,
the main purpose of your resident in the UK and islands must not have been to receive full-time education during any part of the three year period,
you have been given indefinite leave to remain in the UK
Payment
All international students are required to pay their fees before their course starts or at registration. If you are unable to do so, you should provide evidence of either a government loan or an award from your sponsoring organization.
